Paul practices walking with Dad at the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network family picnic.

"A horse is a horse, of course, of course..." Paul had the opportunity to "ride" Buddy the horse at school.

A busy weekend at the Brooker house...not only was it Father's Day, but...

We celebrated Paul's FIRST Birthday!!! A fun time was had by all, especially the birthday boy!!!

Auntie Leah (Paul's Godmother), came for a visit on Saturday. Her birthday is June 16th, so they had fun exchanging gifts, playing together, and going out to dinner at the Winfield Grill.

Paul is so thankful for all of the wonderful birthday gifts he received from family and friends. Here, he tackles a gift from Uncle Bob...can you guess what it is?

Paul's cake featured his favorite "pet" dog, "Stretch"...

...It was delicious!
On Thursday, June 18, Paul's classroom had "Donuts with Dad" to celebrate Father's Day. Although Paul just woke up from a nap, he was excited to indulge in 2 delicious donut holes with Grandpa Palmer. (Unfortunately, Dad was getting his wisdom teeth out at the time- yikes!- so no donuts for him for a couple of days!)

Grandpa and Grandma Palmer came up for a Friday night visit and joined us at our annual "Peace of Christ Parish Festival." What fun we had!

"I want that blue duck..." Paul took home some fabulous prizes from the carnival...a shovel and bucket, a couple of rubber duckies, a glow-in-the-dark slinky, and a pet fish!
"Wow! That sherbet is COLD!!!"

Tonight was Paul's first visit to Frontier Field to see the Red Wings play. Spikes agreed to take a snapshot with us to mark the occasion!

"Never forget your plastic shovel when visiting the ball park," advises Paul.

Memorial Day BBQ at the Abbass's...Paul and his friends Ethan and Benjamin spent much of the day in their swim trunks.
