All strapped in to go for a ride in the new stroller with Dad.
Naptime!
Paul visited "Spa Brooker" for his first sponge bath...we're not so sure he's going to want to be a repeat customer...
Our neighbors, the Perry's, made sure that our new family was welcomed home by a blue balloon bouquet.
We came home on Monday, June 23. This was Paul's first ride in his new car seat.
Hangin' with Dad :)
Newborns at Highland Hospital get to sport knit caps donated from local crafters. Paul wanted to be sure he could be easily spotted in the nursery.
Paul James Brooker IV made his grand appearance on Thursday, June 19, at 7:29am. He weighed 7 lbs., 6 oz., and measured 19 inches long.

Less than one week left...
We are both anxious to finally meet the little one- hopefully the wait will not be too much longer!
Grandpa Brooker shared with us the furniture that PJ, Aunt Mindy, and Uncle Bob used when they were little. What a special treat for the baby to sleep in the same place as his/her Dad did when he was a baby!
Grandpa Palmer handcrafted the little table to the left of our glider. What a perfect spot for Baby Brooker's radio and monitor!
The past meets the present...PJ and I dug out some of our childhood books that we'd like to share with our son/daughter once he/she arrives. At each of the showers, we also received a number of beautiful new books to add to our collection. What a great library!
We will likely spend many hours in our new glider reading all of our wonderful books!
Hopefully, Baby Brooker will have many sunny days this summer to enjoy his/her view of the backyard. Lots of little critters...squirrels, chipmunks, cardinals, and the occasional neighborhood cat can often be seen making mischief!
